Anthony Perkins’s application for post-conviction relief based on ineffective assistance of counsel was denied in the Superi- or Court, and he appealed to this Court, contending that the trial justice’s decision was in error. This case came before the Supreme Court on October 2, 2013, pursuant to an order directing the parties to show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not summarily be decided.
