Abdoulie Njie’s application for postcon-viction relief, premised on ineffective assistance of counsel, was denied in the Superi- or Court, and he appealed to this Court, contending that the hearing justice’s decision was in error. This case came before the Supreme Court on February 10, 2017, pursuant to an order directing the parties to appear and show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not summarily be decided.
