Error to Kalamazoo; Knappen, J. Case and trover by the city of Kalamazoo against the Standard Paper Company for the conversion of water from the pipes of plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff. Defendant brings error.

This is an action brought by the city of Kalamazoo against the Standard Paper Company, to recover the value of water which plaintiff alleges was converted by the defendant during the period from November 17, 1906, to November 17, 1910.

The defendant company is a manufacturer of paper, and in the process of manufacture uses a large amount of water. It had constructed an aqueduct, by means of which it could bring water from the Kalamazoo river to reservoirs near its mill.
