This action was brought by the plaintiff to recover the proceeds of a cashier’s check issued by the Anamosa National Bank of Anamosa, Iowa, payable to the plaintiff’s order, which check she deposited in the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of New England, North Dakota. The check was sent through the defendant bank and collected by it, but before remittance was made to the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of New England the latter bank closed, and at the time of its closing was indebted to the defendant Bank. Plaintiff obtained judgment.
