We are asked to decide whether child custody provisions of a divorce judgment of the Probate and Family Court may be challenged by the plaintiff, E.N. (father), in a subsequent proceeding. The father claims that the Probate and Family Court lacked jurisdiction over the issue of custody as it *183relates to the parties’ older child, who was bom in Puerto Rico.
