This matter is before us upon defendants' motion to dismiss a writ of error. The writ, addressed to the registrar of the land court, commanded the latter forthwith to send to this court the record in the above entitled case and was substantially in the form provided by section 2532, R.L. 1925. It was issued upon an application made by the Territory to the clerk of this court, which application, omitting caption, title, address, date and signature, was in the following form: "Please issue a writ of error in the above entitled case to the registrar of the land court of the Territory of Hawaii,…
