This is a bill in equity to redeem certain mortgaged premises, brought by the plaintiff [Jesse Gordon], as assignee of the mortgagor of the mortgaged premises, against the defendants [Archelaus Lewis and the Portland Manufacturing Company], as assignees of the mortgagee.
