“27th Judicial District Court, State of Louisiana, Parish of St. James.
“Plaintiffs sold to defendant on the 22d day of August, 1909, a sugar cane hoist and derrick, for a price and sum of twenty-two hundred dollars, of which amount defendant paid cash the sum of five hundred no/100 dollars, and agreed to give to plaintiffs on November 30, 1909, his note payable 30 days after date in representation of the balance of' said purchase price.
