The defendant Riley Byrd appeals from a judgment entered on a jury's verdict for the plaintiff Edward Petelinski. For the following reasons, the appeal is dismissed.
Petelinski sued Byrd on January 24, 1997, seeking compensatory and punitive damages based on several legal theories. A jury, on April 15, 1998, awarded Petelinski $31,500 in compensatory damages and $65,000 in punitive damages.
