In this dispute over the nature and quality of the work performed on a residential home improvement project, plaintiff-contractor Giuseppe Amabile (“Amabile”) sought the recovery of the balance of the contract price for the work he performed. Defendant Edward Embriano (“Embriano”) counterclaimed for $12,000.00 in damages to remedy what he alleged was Amabile’s improper and defective performance.
