This is an appeal from the rendition of summary judgment in favor of appellee, Houston Independent School District (HISD). Appellant, Frances Jackson (Jackson), filed suit against HISD alleging violations of her due process rights under the Texas Constitution, and seeking in-junctive relief in the form of back pay. Jackson further sought a declaration under the Texas Uniform Declaratory Judgment Act that her constitutional rights had been violated and that she was entitled to back pay.
