I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff Jeffrey T. Spear is a resident of Wilbraham, Massachusetts and the administrator of the estates of his daughters, Amy Elizabeth Spear and Alison Elaine Spear. He commenced this action on July 13, 1994, for various claims arising out of a motor vehicle accident on June 27, 1994.
