On the 13th day of October, 1900, the board of children’s guardians filed its verified petition in the circuit court of Marion county, Indiana, whereby it alleged that Zola Rankin, a female child of the age of eleven years, was in the actual control and custody of appellant, Wilkison, who resided in the city of Indianapolis, county and State aforesaid.
