liThe state charged defendant in a two-count bill of information with second degree cruelty to juveniles, in violation of La.R.S. 14:93.2.3, and with cruelty to juveniles, in violation of La.R.S. 14:93. After trial by jury, defendant was found guilty of attempted second degree cruelty to juveniles and guilty as charged of cruelty to juveniles. The trial court sentenced him to consecutive terms of 10 years imprisonment at hard labor.
