OPINION

NIEMEYER, Circuit Judge:

Under Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, a debtor may gain approval of a debt adjustment plan that provides for the debtor’s retaining possession of property securing a loan, despite the objections of the secured creditor, through a “cram down” provision. The “cram down” provision permits the bankruptcy court to approve distribution to the secured creditor of future installment payments equivalent in value to the securing property in lieu óf distribution of the property itself. 11 U.S.C. § 1325(a)(5)(B).
