The instant matter concerns a fee dispute between Defendant Raymond A. Long and his former counsel, Plaintiff Judd Burstein, P.C., with .the dispute centering on whether the parties contracted to alter New York’s default rules for attorney compensation agreements. Defendant has filed a motion to dismiss Plaintiffs Complaint, arguing that the parties expressly contracted to limit Plaintiffs right to obtain quantum meruit relief.
