PIVARNIK, Justice.

Appellant-Petitioner, Michael Dearman, pleaded guilty to robbery, a class A felony, on August 5, 1988. On August 30, 1983, the trial court sentenced him to twenty-five (25) years. Dearman filed his petition for post-conviction relief on January 11, 1984, which was denied on June 19, 1984. Dear-man now appeals the denial of his post-conviction relief petition, raising the following issues:

1. whether Dearman's guilty plea was given involuntarily because the trial court did not advise him of the possibility of an increased sentence due to a prior conviction; and
