Plaintiff, Medford Firefighters Association, appeals the granting of defendant’s motion for summary judgment by the trial court. We affirm.

Plaintiff and defendant, City of Medford, entered into a one-year collective bargaining agreement on July 1, 1975 which was to be automatically renewed every year unless notice of termination or modification was given by either party in writing not less than 180 days prior to the time the agreement was to be renewed.1 The agreement was automatically renewed for the 1976-1977 year.
