Plaintiff Wayne E. Linn was injured when his car was struck from behind by a car driven by defendant Marcella F. Damilano. After a trial in the circuit court of Vermilion County, the jury rendered a verdict in favor of plaintiff on his negligence claim, finding no comparative negligence on his part, and awarded damages of $15,480.66. Plaintiff appeals, arguing that the trial court improperly denied his motion to bar the testimony of the impartial medical expert and erred when it refused to give his tendered nonpattern jury instruction.
