The above entitled case is before us on a motion for judgment for want of a sufficient affidavit of defense.

The action was brought by the plaintiff to recover from the defendant the sum of $522.50, claimed as a balance due upon the sale by plaintiff to defendant of certain materials. The contract for the sale of the materials is alleged *455to have been in writing, and a copy of it is attached to the plaintiff’s statement. It is alleged that the goods were sold and delivered pursuant to the contract in writing, and that the amount claimed is the balance due on the purchase price.
