In the year 1853, one Charles L. Dell, at that time a resident of Texas, died possessed of real and personal property situated in that State, and leaving a widow, Amanda, one of the present defendants, and two children, surviving him. By his last will, which was made in Texas, he gave all his estate, real and personal, to his wife and children, in equal interest one with the other, and invested his wife with the “ sole and entire control ” of the whole estate during her life, for the benefit of herself and children, free from the control and guidance of the Courts of law…
