ROBERTSON, Judge.

Elena Yee Lutz (Lutz) appeals a general judgment in favor of Melvin M. Belli, Sr. (Belli) and Sam Yorty (Yorty) in a consolidated action for attorney's fees.

We affirm in part and reverse in part as to Belli and reverse as to Yorty.

Belli brought an action for attorney's fees based upon a contingent fee agreement between himself and Lutz. At the time the attorney-client relationship was formed, Lutz was involved in at least five distinct legal proceedings, each relating to the estate of her deceased husband, Herbert Lutz.
