'Appellants, other than defendant Ma-gner, and respondents have each a chattel mortgage on the -same, property, and this action was brought to- determine which is prior in right, The trial court -decided that respondents’ mortgage was paramount.

Respondents’ mortgage was executed and filed on the 30th day of December, 19-16. It had not been paid at the end of three years from: that date, nor did respondents renew the same in the manner provided by section 1587, R. C. 1919.
