The defendant, appellant, was convicted of murder in the second degree. The deceased, Lucius F. Humber, and the defendant, Leila O. Humber, at the time of the killing, were husband and wife. They had both been previously married, and they both had children by their first marriage. They had two children by their marriage, a girl about eleven years of age and a boy •eight years of age at the time the killing occurred. They were living in Girard. Russell county, Ala.
