The plaintiff, while in the employ of the defendant, on September 20, 1921, was severely injured in a collision between two of defendant’s cars. His right leg was so badly crushed that amputation above the knee was necessary, and was performed. On January 10, 1922, an agreement for compensation was entered into, wherein the defendant agreed to pay him compensation at the rate of $14 per week for the period of 175 weeks.
