While working for the defendant in one of its coal mines, on April 29, 1930, the plaintiff sustained an injury to his left eye. The defendant filed a report of compensable accident with the department of labor and industry on June 14, 1930, and at the same time filed an agreement with the plaintiff to pay him compensation at the rate of $18 per week during the disability. This agreement was approved by • the department on June 19th, following.
