Thomas Freeman was convicted of eight counts of first degree sexual assault and four counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony. The Nebraska Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions .and sentences, and we granted Freeman’s request for further review.

I. SCOPE OF REVIEW

A trial court’s ruling on a motion to suppress, apart from determinations of reasonable suspicion to conduct investigatory stops and probable cause to perform warrantless searches, is to be upheld on appeal unless its findings of fact are clearly erroneous.
