MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
SULLIVAN, District Judge.
In this action, plaintiff, Ms. Jean Spears, seeks to recover a $ 1,278,000 judgment against Intradós International Management (“Intradós”) from its insurer, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company (“Nationwide”). The judgment issued in a D.C. Superior Court tort action arising from an auto accident in which Ms. Spears was injured while working as an independent contractor for Intradós in the Ukraine.
