This case was argued and submitted at the recent session of this Court at Monroe, under an agreement that it was to be decided at Opelousas.
The defendant was Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of School Directors of the parish of Union, and a member of the board from 1870 till sometime in 1875. In the year last named, a new board was appointed, and with such appointment defendant’s membership and official relation to the board terminated.
