At issue in this case is whether a juvenile defendant has a right to assert the defense of insanity. It is undisputed that on January 5, 2000, the juvenile defendant below and the appellant herein, B.C., became disorderly in class and refused to leave the classroom at his high school when asked to do so by his teacher. The teacher called the school’s security personnel for assistance, but they were unable to remove Appellant from the classroom.
