MILLER, Justice:

In this original proceeding, the relator, Donald C. McCormick, seeks a writ to prohibit enforcement of the respondent judge’s June 1, 1992 order. The order precluded the relator’s expert witness, Jack Lane, from testifying because Mr. Lane was allegedly in possession of confidential information protected by the attorney-client privilege and the attorney work-product doctrine. We find that the trial court erred; accordingly, we grant the writ.
