On November 14, 1945, an indictment was returned in the District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia against eighty corporate and individual defendants resident in many states and in the District of Columbia. They were charged with having been engaged since 1933 in a conspiracy to fix the prices of artificial limbs in violation of §§ 1 and 3 of Title 15 U.S.C.A., Sherman Anti-Trust Act.
