This disposition resolves cross-motions for summary judgment on whether defendant Federated Services Insurance Company (Federated) had a duty to defend plaintiff Larsen Oil Company (Larsen) in an underlying action. Larsen claims the duty to defend arose when Carson Oil Company and Columbia Heating & Cooling, Inc., defendants in the underlying action, filed third-party claims against Larsen for contribution and indemnification.
