The plaintiff, BDO Seidman Financial Services (“SFS”), brought this action against its former employee, Stephen T. Gorman (“Gorman”) and his firm, Gorman Financial Management, to recover damages for Gorman’s alleged breach of an agreement between SFS and Gorman. The agreement prohibited Gorman from performing financial services for any SFS client prior to, or within eighteen months after, his termination from SFS, without the consent of the president of SFS.
