This action arises out of the November 30, 1997, consolidation of three Illinois hospital systems. Plaintiff Provena Hospitals (Provena), the entity into which the three systems consolidated, brings this action as the successor-in-interest to Mercy Center for Health Care Services (Mercy Center), one of the consolidating entities.
