December 18, 1947, appellant was, by information, charged with the two offenses of forgery and uttering. A jury convicted him on both charges and assessed his punishment at two years in the State Penitentiary on each. Prom the judgment, in which the court directed that appellant serve the sentences consecutively, is this appeal.-
