In 1858 one Abner Reeves owned lots 26 to 46, inclusive, in block 63, in school section addition to Chicago, bounded on the north by Forquer street, on the east by Beach street, on the south by Taylor street, and on the west by an alley. In the year 1858 the Pittsburg, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway Company, under the authority of an ordinance of the city of Chicago, constructed its tracks on Beach street. The tracks so constructed were also used by the Chicago and Alton Railroad Company, and, as appears from the record, were the main tracks running to the passenger depot of the two…
