Sharon Lynn Ford Swanson appeals the District Court’s 1 decision to grant one-half of the proceeds from her deceased son John’s Servicemen’s Group Life Insurance policy to John’s father, Louis Vernon Thomas. Swanson and Thomas were defendants in an interpleader suit brought by Prudential Insurance Company of America to determine the proper beneficiary of one-half of John Vernon Thomas’s life-insurance proceeds.
