A federal jury convicted Defendant C. Ray Nagin of bribery, “honest-services” wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bribery and honest-services wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and filing false tax returns. The district court sentenced Nagin to ten years in prison, imposed forfeiture in the form of a personal money judgment, and ordered Nagin to pay restitution to the federal government for unpaid taxes.
