On this appeal from her conviction following trial on charges of sodomy and sexual abuse involving two young children, the defendant challenges the court’s employment of the procedures authorized under CPL article 65 which permit the taking of the testimony of a child witness through the use of live, two-way closed-circuit television. For the reasons that follow, we conclude that article 65 was applied in this case in such a manner as to result in the deprivation of the defendant’s right to confrontation under the Federal and State Constitutions (see, US Const…
