MEMORANDUM OPINION
STAGG, Chief Judge.
I INTRODUCTION
This appeal from the bankruptcy court presents a tangled web of issues involving suretyship, pledge, in solido liability, sub-rogation, and community property law. The threads of this web must be unra-velled, examined and, ultimately,-rewoven to achieve a just resolution under the Code.
Pledge and suretyship form part of the Louisiana Civil Code’s arsenal of security devices. Although these methods of financing are of ancient origin, courts, commentators and economic necessity have, through the years, consistently given them new life. See…
