INTRODUCTION

Defendant Jose Rodriguez Paz was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, and related deadly weapon and one strike allegations after abducting H. Ramirez at knifepoint and assaulting her in an isolated parking lot.
