I respectfully dissent. In these two accelerated appeals, the majority reverses the judgment of the trial court ordering temporary inpatient mental health services and the trial court’s order to administer psychoactive medications to appellant, K.E.W., a paranoid schizophrenic. I believe the State fully satisfied the statutory criteria for proving from clear and convincing evidence that at the time of his involuntary commitment, appellant was mentally ill and, as a result, was likely to cause serious harm to others, was suffering severe and…
