After a bench trial, the trial court found appellant, Chris Garcia, guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon 1 (Cause No. 13-05-097-CR) and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (Cause No. 13-05-098-CR). 2 The court imposed a punishment of ten years’ imprisonment and a $10,000 fíne for the first offense, and fifty years’ imprisonment and a $10,000 fine for the second offense.
