In a complaint filed in the circuit court of Cook county on October 14, 1941, Maria Andersen, plaintiff, represented that she married Peter Andersen, defendant, at Chicago on October 18,1936; that two children were born of the marriage, Gloria, four years of age, and Allen, three years of age; that on September 10, 1941, he struck her on the face; that on October 7, 1941, he wilfully deserted and absented himself from her without any reasonable cause and continued to absent himself without fault on her part; that he was employed by…
