I. INTRODUCTION

On January 26, 2001, Fisher-Price, Inc. (“Fisher-Price”) filed suit against Safety 1st, Inc. (“Safety 1st”), Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc., and Dorel Design and Development, LLC (collectively “Safety 1st” or “the defendants”), alleging infringement of several patents.
