MEMORANDUM AND ORDER ON DEFENDANT’S MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

I. INTRODUCTION
The plaintiff, Ann Dougherty, alleges that the defendant, Blue Cross Blue Shield of *82Massachusetts, Inc., discriminated against her on the basis of her age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq., and the Massachusetts anti-discrimination law, Mass. Gen. L. ch. 151B, § 4. These claims stem from the dismissal of Ms. Dougherty by the defendant in February of 1994.
