This is a habeas corpus proceeding in which, after a hearing, the court denied the writ (153 Kan. 777). The United States supreme court granted certiorari and after a hearing accepted this court’s conclusion that the record showing Cochran was represented by counsel throughout, and revealing on its facé no irregularities in the trial, is sufficient refutation of petitioner’s unsupported charge that he was denied the right to summon witnesses and testify for himself; but found in the petition for the writ allegations which had not been passed…
