OPINION

LARRY L. LESSEN, Bankruptcy Judge.

The issue before the Court is whether the Debtor is entitled to claim as exempt a life insurance policy pursuant to 735 ILCS 5/12— 1001(f).

The Debtor, Robert Heck, filed a petition pursuant to Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code on November 18, 1996. On June 30, 1997, the Debtor amended his schedule of exemptions to add a life insurance policy with the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company. The Debtor claimed the exemption under 735 ILCS 5/12-1001(f). The Trustee filed a timely objection on July 3, 1997.
