Both parties to this action have appealed portions of the district court’s judgment affirming a jury’s award of damages to the plaintiff, Sandra Conway, for discrimination suffered at the hands of her employer, the Electro Switch Corp. (“Electro Switch”). Ms. Conway brought suit in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, alleging that the defendant, Electro Switch, and four of its employees- discriminated against her on the basis of her sex and age.
